Silambam is the one of the oldest self defensive techniques in martial art which has existed since 5000 years ago,from the prehistoric times and before the Aryans to India. Here in Malaysia the indians community is still learning this martial art.
Silambam is not only for testing the ability to handle a variety of challenging weapons but it's also taught and trained people who learn it to be more disciplined and focused.

The silambam is more footwork. Their fighters learn various spinning techniques and methods of executing them in the flow and without stopping the motion of the sticks. In this footwork stage the fighters will learn how to prepare themselves to defend against multiple opponents.
Some of the most popular weapons are below :
- This weapon is made from deer horns which are connected by two crossbars. Silambam fighters normally use it for both defensive and offensive purposes.
