REVIEW: NETFLIX'S THE KING: ETERNAL MONARCH (SEASON 1)

Now that "The King: Eternal Monarch" is officially over, you may find finding yourself a royal horse, looking for doppelgängers in your neighborhood, or drowning your pain and sorrow in The Alley bubble tea.

I'm totally gonna recommend for who didn't watch it yet. I'm going to say a rating of 9 out of 10 ratings.

The Kingdom of Corea encounters severe uprisings in 1994. His brother Lee Lim (Lee Jung-Jin) kills the King (Kwon Yool) and King's son Lee Gon (Jeong Hyun-Jun) is stabbed in the neck, but he survives. The murderous Lee Lim is seeking to possess the Manpasikjeok, a legendary flute holding supernatural powers. Lee Lim slips away with only half of the now broken flute after a mysterious figure shows up with a gun. The young Lee Gon holds a police badge from the mysterious figure which he picked. Lee Goon is named the next Kingdom of Corea ruler the next day.

Twenty-five years later King Lee Gon (Lee Min-Ho) governs the Kingdom of Corea as its benevolent leader in the autumn of 2019. He is still haunted by what happened as a child and by the mystery left behind by his savior's police badge. The police badge that he carried was issued for Lieutenant Jeong Tae-Eul on 11 November 2019.

Jeong Tae-Eul (Kim Go-Eun) is a detective in the Division of Violent Crimes at the Seoul Jongo Police Station in the Republic of Korea in Autumn 2019. She works undercover to takedown the operator from an illegal online gambling operation.

Elsewhere, King Lee Gon is chasing after someone in the Kingdom of Corea who is dressed like a rabbit with one clock. King Lee Gon has the illusion that the individual dressed as a rabbit might be his enigmatic savior 25 years ago. King Lee Gon mounts Maximus on his horse and goes into the wood. He soon crosses over from the Kingdom of Corea into the Republic of Korea's parallel universe. Eventually, King Lee Gon meets Detective Jeong Tae-Eul.

I don't want to be the spoiler here if you haven't watched it and for those who came across the Finale, we know how amazing the story was!

so here's a few scenes from the series...

The final episode was a total sob feast with heart-shattering deaths. What made The King: Eternal Monarch extra special was the fact that it was the first big project after Lee Min-ho completed his military training.
