The hard work and dedication of the three Malaysian front liners captured the eye of the singer Mariah Carey.
Long-time Carey fan Mohamad Asraf Nordin told mStar that he had responded to Carey's tweet with a picture of his aunt and her colleagues who worked as nurses in Batu Pahat, Johor. Asraf said that he always commented on Carey's tweets, but never imagined a response.
To his surprise, Asraf was notified that Carey had liked and quoted his tweet. In her quote-retweet, Carey praised the medical staff as "real life heroes".
According to Asraf, he became a Carey fan for the first time in 2015. He was immediately in love with her singing and became a self-proclaimed "fanatic" in the following year. Carey's 2018 live concert in Kuala Lumpur was also attended by Asraf.
"She finally noticed me," he said.
Asraf has yet to let his aunt know about Carey's scream-out, as he didn't want to interrupt her from her job. Nevertheless, he shared the news with other friends, including his cousin.
