PENANG HILL

Penang Hill was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia and locally known as Bukit Bendera. It is located 6 km away from Georgetown and 883 m above sea level

Since 1960 the flora and fauna here have been protected as it is the last patch of tropical rainforest in Penang.

People who love plants and birds must visit Penang Hill. Here we can find various flora and fauna which are so rare as their species are endangered.

Over 100 species of birds can be found in Penang Hill Island and the range from common garden species to rare deep forest inhabitants.

At the top of the Hill we also can find a Mosque and a Hindu temple located nearby. It brings people from different backgrounds together and promotes a better understanding of unity.
