DALGONA COFFEE

The past three weeks have turned literally everyone on my Instagram feed into a highly-skilled home cook. Sure, I do order food delivery now and again, thanks to all these awesome companies who work day-and-night during the MCO to keep us fed, clean, and entertained.

Firstly, the Dalgona coffee—it started as a Tik Tok trend and has now exploded all over the internet Is it worth the hype? Only one way to find out.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp. sugar

2 tbsp. instant coffee (I used Nescafe Dark Roast)

2 tbsp. water (Preferably warm water)

Ice cubes

Milk (I used Dutch Lady Full Cream Milk) 

DIRECTIONS

1. Add sugar, coffee, and water in a mixing bowl. Vigorously whisk until mixture turns silky smooth and shiny, then continue whisking until it thickens and holds its lofty, foamy shape.

 2. Fill a glass most of the way full with ice and milk, then dollop and swirl the whipped coffee mixture on top, mixing before drinking, if desired.

3. Oh no! Wait. Before drinking the coffee, snap pictures and post in Instagram first. That is our ethics.
