This is a very classic dish that been in the Malaysia culture. Its popularity didn’t make it stop within Malay tongue only but also others. It’s fragrant, tender, slightly chewy, and perfect with a cup of tea.
Take a moment and taste the flavor of all these. It is perfect breakfast for those that chasing after the time. This dish is the among popular dish eat during the morning no matter the background and so on.
Firstly, add two eggs into the bowl as the main ingredient. Then add the sugar, and put in the butter inside the bowl but don’t mix it yet. Prepare an 8 inch x 8 inch pan or 8½ inch x 4½ inch x 2½ inch loaf pan as the base for bake later.
It was a little full but it perfectly fit just fine. A 9¼ inch x 5¼ inch x 2½ inch loaf pan would probably better for the first timer if scare it will spill over. Once all these it finish then mix all until you can see the pale yellow color inside your mixture in the end.
Put extra sugar if you want that the top to caramelize into a golden color topping. Bake it for an hour (according different people prefer different texture) to bake it perfectly. As the result, the texture will be tender and a little chewy and that is a good sign you bake the perfectly.
The flavor was very good, not too sweet and quite fragrant. A perfect dish for everyone to take and favor the dish as you reminisce the past. The past that shall not return no matter how you cry over it. Face over to future while remind about the past.
