This dish is very close to my heart because my late grandmother likes to prepare specially for me whenever I visit my hometown in Sungai Siput, Perak. It’s simple and easy to prepare as long as you know how to keep your kitchen clean and organize. Come let’s look at the steps.
1. Firstly, add salt and a teaspoon of turmeric powder on cut fish. Mix well them before frying.
2. Next, grind the below ingredients to paste and keep aside.
Ingredients to grind
i) 10 small onion
ii) 4 garlic
iii) 8 candle nut

iv) 7-inch turmeric
v) 4-inch ginger
vi) 12 green chili
viii) Water as needed

3. Add the grinded paste onto the hot wok and sauté for another 2 minutes.
4. Pour little bit of water and mix the well.
5. Add the green chillies and mix them well in slow fire.
6. Add the fried fish and some evaporated milk.
7. Lastly, add the belacan cube and ready to serve.
