DOS AND DON’TS IN MALAYSIA



Do
1. Use your right hand to receive or give objects from others.
2. Remove your hats, caps or any headgear while entering a religious place which shows you are giving respect to religious places
3. Stand up when Monks arrive at temples which show respect to them.
4. Use your all four-finger folded or thumb to point things or person
5.  Ask permission with locals before taking a picture of them.
6. Remove your shoes before entering worship places.
7. Remove your shoes to enter into homes.


Don’ts

1. Hug or kiss in public which Malaysian considered as inappropriate behaviour at public
2. Expose your shoulder, your bellybutton and keep your skirt length below knee level.
