KYLIE JENNER HAS BECOME ONE OF THE WORLD'S HIGHEST PAYING CELEBRITIES

On June 4, Forbes released the annual Celebrity 100 list.

According to Forbes, celebrity earnings were down $200 million compared to 2019. Even so, the combined earnings of the top 100 amount to US$ 6.1bill (RM26bill) – certainly not a sneeze figure.

Top earners include Kylie Jenner at number one with a payout of US$ 590mil (RM2.5bil), followed by Kanye West at US$ 170mil (RM725mil).

Several athletes, including tennis player Roger Federer, basketball player LeBron James and soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Lionel Messi, also feature in the top ten.

The honorable mention goes to the K-pop boy band BTS, who are the only Korean artists to make the list. BTS ranked 47th with a gross income of US$ 50mil (RM213mil), pocketing "more than any American band except Metallica," Forbes wrote.

There is no denying that the Covid-19 pandemic took its toll on showbiz. Despite this, the biggest stars in the world continue to show that their careers will not be hindered.
